AEPDS Maharashtra  is an initiative by the Maharashtra government to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the Public Distribution System (PDS). By linking ration cards with Aadhaar, the system ensures the rightful beneficiaries receive their entitled food grains and essential commodities while minimizing fraud and duplication. It enables real-time monitoring of transactions, biometric authentication at fair price shops, and digitization of ration distribution, improving accessibility and reducing leakages in the process.
